the cleaning lady gets her revenge!

gwen ifil, the pbs reporter once controversially referred to as the "cleaning lady" on the don imus show, did her thing last week moderating the vice presidential debate. she not only was fair, her tone was measured and her questions were well thought - out and had no hints of gotcha journalism. even though she was criticized for the audacity of having a career when it was made aware that she was writing a book on black politicians she was professional and showed no signs of malice. i am glad that she showed herself to be professional and actually a better moderator than jim lauer. let's keep it real: that book shit was bullshit, tonight tom brokaw moderates the presidential debates. he made a nice second revenue stream for himself by writing about the greatest generation and canonizing veterans. does that mean that he has a hard - on for mccain? wasn't brought up but i understand why? do you?

But she still looks like her name is Beulah and someone calls her "mammie". Sorry, but that hairstyle is so '92.

Maybe she would have been damned either way she went with this, but I think she could have been more pressing with Palin. Answer the f*cking question. Okay, she "can't" say that, so at least poke the candidates a bit more. Maybe she couldn't because then the debate would be deemed illegit by the McCain team. Someone in a debate telling you the moderator they won't answer your question? See that's why I'm not there. flying furniture. why oh why do we tolerate bull and stupidity by saying we are being impartial and fair?
