How can the race be tightening? I just don't get it. How can eight years of Bush/Cheney, eight years of screwing the middle and working class (not to mention the poor), eight years of horrible foriegn policy, etc., equal that over 40 % of the electorate believe that Republicans should still be in power?
And combine it with Obama being one hell of a speaker and is so freaking smart - how can people not pick him?
Part of me wishes it was simply racism. At least we would know what we were fighting against. But you know, I don't think it is completely about race. I just think that a lot of Americans are simply stupid. And how do we fight against that?

I know. It hurts. That is why I cannot think for a moment that the race is actually tightening, that McPalin can win. It is not conceivable. How can it not be a landslide?
