Question of the Day (4-Dec)

Peeps,

This may sound rather silly, and even though I prefer a manual (stick shift); why is there a 3rd, 2nd, and L gear on automatic vehicles when they are never used? And then, when the transmission goes out they are no good anyway.

Those lower gears are for when you carrying fat people w/ you. 3rd and 2nd might not get the job done so you gotta kick it in L.....

Oh, Big Reub...I'm a city girl! Who cares why cars have what they have! Is the D-train running?

they get used by people who know how/when to use them.. e.g.. in snowy/icey weather.. ideal to stay in 1st or 2nd.
