STRINGER BELL IS GOING TO BE ON THE OFFICE? How does Jump the Shark sound with a British accent?

I just read in Time Magazine that Idris Elba, the dude that starred on the television show, The Wire as Stringer Bell will be guest - starring on The Office.

WTF?

HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? Who actually thought that Steve Carrell and Idris Elba had some kind of chemistry where they would make good television? The Office has been kind of bad lately not 30 Rock bad but bad nonetheless. This latest stunt seems like desperation. I love the Office but I am not entirely sure about this casting decision.
