Today marks the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birthday. Now The Great Emancipator wasn't the saint that he is made out to be. It wasn't like he fought the Civil War JUST to free slaves. On the contrary he originally wanted to ship all the slaves to Costa Rica. But to his credit when he realized that he was stuck with them and that slavery would make it that much harder for free white men to get jobs he did the right thing. I am sure that if he hadn't freed the slaves that someone eventually would have but I am glad that he did it when he did. It looks like with the election of Barack that his legacy has finally come to frution. Holler!
