Do you remember...THE THUNDERCATS and THE SILVERHAWKS?

If you were a latchkey kid, like me, then you must remember Lion - O and the rest of his crew; The Thundercats. For some reason, Lion - O, the leader/main character was the son of a King of an alien planet and was sent to earth to save his race and people. The typical Superman/ Jesus Christ story. The only thing about The Thundercats was that in order to get his full power Lion - O would have to bite He- man and call out to his sword (the all seeing eye). The question I would always ask was: Why didn't he just call out before and get the fight over with from the get - go. Not to mention the villain Mumm - Ra that would seem to change into an even more evil person every time there was a a fight. One last thing: Was I the only that noticed that Panthro the black - sounding Thundercat was the driver.



Then there was the rip - off: The Silverhawks. This seemed to be a product of a meeting with producers of The Thundercats trying to get that cartoon spinoff money. Even though I watched the silverhawks, i still am not clear on what the premise of this show was. Maybe someone out there can help me. They were from outer space looking for something???
