Certified Gangsta: Larry Davis!

Dude until I saw his profile on American Gangster, I had forgotten how crazy this Larry Davis situation had gotten.
I had forgotten how stupid he made the police look after he shot them and went on the run for more than a week.
I had forgotten how ill this dude was. He produced one of the first rap records. So therefore he was the one of the first gangsta rappers.
One thing I didn't forget though was how corrupt the NYPD was and still are. To this day i believe that he sold crack for the cops and that he wanted to quit and that's why the police came to get him that night. Unfortunately, Larry Davis was killed before he got to tell his story to BET producers. He was killed, stabbed to death, in a maximum security prison no less. He left a name if nothing else. Shouts to BET for putting on a program that doesn't make me ashamed to be Black.
