Well folks, What goes on in the world we know?
Well, as for me.........Hard Times. Of course the price of gas has come down, but my hard drive went out .........now I'm sick. (Bowing my head and holding it in my palm.) But, life goes on. I have to make it happen some kinda way and now I have to find an available computer to post. So ya'll missed me yesterday with the QOTD. I won't let it get me down though.
So, today I'll ask something off the wall: Who was it that said that the fruit that was taken from the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden was an apple? No evidence confirms this.

Good question Reub and I'm glad you asked it. The bible says in Genesis 3:6- "The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious and she wanted the wisdom it would give her. So she took some of the FRUIT and ate it..."
It is my belief that it is a "worldly" myth that the fruit in question was an apple. Hey, look at it like this... when a child behaves badly, many say, "the APPLE doesn't fall far from the tree". Why does it have to be an apple? After all, it is NOT the only fruit that grows and falls from trees...
With that said, it doesn't really matter whether or not the fruit that Adam and Eve ate was an apple or a guava. The truth of the matter is, it only took 3 chapters for man to fall, but it is taking a heck of a lot longer for us to be restored to the level of productivity that God intended and the divine order that was in the Garden before Eve allowed Satan to doubt God's goodness.
We really don't always NEED to know the answers to everything. After all, that's what got humanity in the state it is now...
Great point above talent unitd....the bible is filled with nothing but symbolism.Forget the fruit, Eve ate from the tree of "knowledge" or better yet the tree of sin.....
I vote that it was a fig. ever taste one straight from the tree? sinful.
