HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
Ward Cleaver was my guy. He had two sons, a wife that did what he said and two sons that worshipped the ground he walked on. He was the quintessential figure of what a white Father was supposed to be; understated, respected and the most valued person in the household. He was the breadwinner, the number one guy in the building. THE MAN! In reality the post - WW2 American Father was nothing like Ward Cleaver. The fact is that the 50's man was a broken down, drunken man stuck in the past and unable to change. He was not the guy television would have you believe he was. But as father figures go Ward Cleaver was on point!
