William Safire is dead - Rest In Peace!

Well, another conservative columnist has died. New York Times Columnist William Safire, a very powerful and influential conservative columnist for The New York Times as well as an authority on language passed away this past weekend. Now most times when conservatives or Republicans die I take a little joy (Novak and Helms come to mind) but as much as I disagreed with Safire I always found him likable. He was one of those guys that you could disagree with and still like despite his dumb ideas. Rest In Peace Safire. After 3,000 columns you have earned it.
