Can someone please explain to me how this BP thing is Obama's fault?

Listening to the news' talking heads the last two weeks and you would think that President Obama was on the oil rig that exploded and started polluting the Gulf. They seem to think that him lying to the people and emoting empathy will get rid of the oil spill. This is what happens when you follow 8 years of "feel your pain" politics with 8 years of "Stay the course" politics.
