Before Barack Obama became the first African American President, Ororo Monroe had already made history as the first African American (She was from Egypt) to run a super hero crew. Not to mention the tightest crew at that. When Scott Summers left the X - Men to heal his physical, mental and emotional wounds after the death of Jean Grey, Storm, The wind - rider, took over the job as field leader of the X- men with Charles Xavier, Professor X calling the shots with Cerebro from his mansion. Only a true leader can lead a team with such diverse members as the wild Wolverine, mysterious Nightcrawler, teenage Kitty Pride, the innocent Colossus and the former enemy turned team member Rogue. And let's face it she wasn't hard to look at. Besides her long white hair, deep blue eyes and chocolate brown skin the fact that Storm could make it rain, snow or hot while you boned her had to be the ultimate turn on for ghetto geeks just going through puberty.
