Ok, people....
I'm sorry I was away for a while since my system crashed. But I'm back in business and since we're at the end of the week, I gotta out something out there.
One of my peeps put me on to the a youtube video of Jamie Foxx clowning Terence Howard. He really didn't put him on blast like he could have, but I gotta say somethin'.
I like both these dudes and have reservations about their talents. Jamie Foxx is a clown and great imitator/talented actor and musician/singer, but his work as a musician hasn't really shown his creativity (to me). He went mainstream with the music. And although, Terence Howard is talented also as an actor and musician, he's not a singer. He probably should have let someone else do the singing while he plays guitar and writes the songs.
Of course, Jamie's popularity captured a lot of the ladies attention which lead to the overwehlming 2x platinum sell out. Terence didn't quite have that acclaim until his Osacar nod, but he also seems to play the same kind of character in every movie and that kinda disappoints me cuz I need him to step his game up. But, whatever comments he made about Jaime Foxx on CNN, he might should have saved for a more personal note direct to Jamie or just not said anything at all, because now the door is open for ridicule........ How you gone clown a comic?
........but was he wrong?
Here's Jamie's interview on Big Boy's show in L.A.:

Big Reub, Jamie's album went platinum? Really...cuz I didn't buy it! Ladies, did any of you buy it? Hmmm.
Jamie had an album out way back in 1993...somethin' like that. It was really good...everybody in my dorm wanted it! I know he has a great voice and of course is a talented actor/comic. But his songs just seem like copies of every other R&B artist that puts a thousand other artists in a song to make sales.
I think Jamie is getting a big head about his success and needs to chill. But, keep in mind, he has a "comic license" to crack on people. If Terrence Howard talked about Jamie, I think it would have been taken much more seriously. But, because Jamie is funny, everything he says is funny and therefore wont be taken as a stab.
Jaime's album was garbage.. actually I shouldn't say that. I heard him perform on oprah and claimed he was some sort of anointed R&B artist and that his album would go down as a classic. Well.. needless to say I was very much underwhelmed. I didn't buy his 1st album and sincerely doubt I would buy the 2nd.
He sounds entirely silly in this clip. Terrance and Jaime are in the same category of music talent as far as I am concerned.
