I thought that I had waxed poetic about this particular cartoon classic earlier but I couldn't find it.
Truthfully, I don't know how i missed it, but in terms of cartoons Voltron was one of the all - time best. The way the five dudes and then later the princess would fight as the lions then realize that they didn't have it and that it was time to form Voltron. Damnn. The Voltron got crazy with the explorers that turned cars into voltron. I was confused. Watching this clip brings me back to the day when television was the only thing that got me high.

sacred is all I can say. VOLTRON! remember the lead paint recall? the set cost like $100 or something. even then we had recalls from China. I learned my lesson then! I also spent hours searching for hidden lions in central park (I mean the real ones, not the figurines.)
It's funny how the robot cartoons were spin-offs of the Japanese live action shows (with very poor costumes even for the 60's/70's). But, with due respect to Voltron, Robotech was my all time favorite from that era b/c it was a saga and some of the humans could convert their vehicles into armor suits of their own. I still wish I could do thath shyt now!!
But maaaaan do any of you remember my dude Spectreman; with Dr. Gory and Carlos? Now, that was my SHYT!!!!
