Do You Remember when Jay Z was raw and NOT SO CORPORATE?

Here is some video from Youtube that I first saw on cocaineblunts.com. It is video from what can now be called The Old Rocafella days when Bleek, Beans, Amil and Jay was ripping shit!. Like the post on cb said one can has forgotten the time when you could see the biggest rapper in the game at a rap club. Jay and his crew were performing in front of less than 1000 people. That will never happen again. Long ago are the days when your biggest rapper would be performing in a club and be happy to do it. Check out old Roc a fella affiliate Pain In Da Ass start the show off. ENJOY:

do you remember...when LL COOL J was going back to Cali?

By far one of the most visually pleasing and stunning (it WAS shot in Black and white) videos of that time and this one "Goin' Back to Cali" was the moment when LL COOL J and Rick Rubin hit their collaborative creative peak. In this song LL displays a level of maturity, artistry and word play that for him was unprecedented. James Todd and Rubin, The actual creative jew at Def Jam (as opposed to Lyor Cohen the money man) managed to include scratches, references to Daytons and a catchy hook that still stands the test of time today. Could please someone mash Big's lyrics with the instrumental to this please. If I had the equipment I would have been had done it (ghetto talk)

Do you remember ... My Posse's on Broadway?

Right before he became known for being a personality for making big butt songs and then a caricature of himself for remaking the same song for Burger King, Sir Mixx Alot was a rapper from Seattle on the come up. Not only was he the first rapper I had ever seen from Seattle but he was the first rapper that I had ever seen that just did not give a fuck about where you thought he was from. This song was pretty good too. I remember as a kid watching this and realizing how stupid I was to think there could only be a Broadway in New York City. Enjoy:

I Know I'm Late on this but what in the fuck happened to Baby Bam from The Jungle Brothers?

Yo I had heard some rumors that Afrika Baby Bam from The jungle Brothers was gay but this shit is ridiculous. If you remember Bam was a conscious party rapper that spit some of the illest flows ever. Their first album Straight Out The Jungle is a bonafide classic but today, 25 years later Bam is a bonafide trannie with a youtube account check this shit out:

While you digest what you just saw check out this video when bam was thinking straight

random sightings - Nikki D.

the other day i ran into old - school recording artist, nikki d. remember her? she made a song called, "letting off steam" and a song that starred a then unknown Treach in the video called, "daddy's little girl" she was very nice when i asked her was she nikki d. and then preceded to tell me that she had a 19 year old son and some reality show prospects. even though i respected her as an artist, the reason why i always remembered her wasn't because of her music it was because of her huge breasts that seemed to want to come out of her jumpsuit in her video for "letting off steam" check it out and see what i'm talking about:
